Wheels for the World is a program of Joni and Friends that provides a free wheelchair, along with the Gospel of Jesus Christ to children and adults affected by disability worldwide. Collecting used wheelchairs in the US, restoring them to like new conditions within Restoration Centers inside prisons. Then the wheelchairs are sent in containers to developing countries where teams of Physical Therapist's, OT's, Mechanics and support people personally seat children and people affected by disabilities to the wheelchairs. Wheels for the World shares the love of Jesus Christ, extended through the gift of mobility bringing hope, joy and salvation to people affected by disabilities around the world.
